Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa and Burbank Housing partnered to create Caritas Center, aFamily Support and Homeless Services Center in downtown Santa Rosa. The comprehensivehousing-focused homeless support services facility totals approximately 46,587 square feet andprovides an emergency shelter, a day center, transitional living space, wraparound services,health services, and administrative offices.Caritas Center replaces Catholic Charities’ aging facilities on Morgan and A Streets, whichserved 2,000 people a year. This long-term solution to the homelessness crisis in SonomaCounty will help get twice as many people off the streets and into permanent housing eachyear.Caritas Center has been designed with enhanced neighborhood safety and security in mind,including 24/7 onsite management, improved lighting and safety features, and inner courtyardsfor program participants.
